Junior/Senior/Big League Divisions Coming for the 2012 Season

 

The BILL Board has voted to expand of our local league to include Junior, Senior and Big League Divisions beyond our regular Minors and Majors Divisions in both Baseball.  While we will charter for all divisions in both baseball and softball, interest from the community and, of course, sign-ups will determine the teams we can field in the new divisions. We are excited to put our energies into launching one or more Junior Division teams for baseball players age 13 – 14.  A Juniors Division season will have inter-league games against teams from other District 2 little leagues.  

 

BILL will look at fielding teams in the Senior and Big League Divisions of Baseball, but due to the uncertain nature of reaching out to BILL players of the past and educating on this new opportunity to play we are not certain enough players will sign up to play.  BILL will charter for all three divisions in both baseball and softball, which will allow Bainbridge Island ball players to have the opportunity of being placed onto other District 2 teams in case we are unable to field teams of our own.  Stay tuned for more information regarding the new divisions.
